    Park Joon Gil () is under investigation for murder. Investment corporation vice-president Park Jong Ho (Yoon Seung Won), who was embezzled by Joon Gil, offers detective Jung Jae Gon (Kim Nam Gil) a large sum of money to maim the murder suspect during his capture. Jae Gon reluctantly accepts the bribe as he owes alimony, but Joon Gil manages to escape arrest. Jae Gon then follows his girlfriend Kim Hye Kyung (Jeon Do Yeon), who works at a shabby bar, in order to track him down. He starts by bugging her flat and searching for clues in her trash, and finally decides to work as her floor manager. However, the situation gets complicated when he forms an attachment to Hye Kyung.
