The 2011 MBC series Royal Family brings viewers into the lives and longings of Korea's modern-day "royalty", the chaebol families. Yeom Jung Ah stars as widow In Sook, who has long suffered as the black sheep daughter-in-law in a powerful business family. After living as a shadow for years on end, she finally fights back against her oppressive in-laws with the help of the family's lawyer Ji Hoon, played by Ji Sung. Determined to protect In Sook at all costs, Ji Hoon leads a double life, and helps her rise to the top of the chaebol. Royal Family also co-stars Cha Ye Ryun (Dr. Champ), Ahn Nae Sang (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), Ki Tae Young (Terroir), Kim Young Ae, Jun Mi Sun (Baker King, Kim Tak Goo), and U-Kiss's Dong Ho.
