My Lovely Sam-Soon heroine Kim Sun Ah is a terminally ill woman trying to live her final days to the fullest in the SBS drama Scent of a Woman. With only half a year left to live, she serendipitous meets the love of her life, played by Lee Dong Wook (My Girl) in his post-army comeback. The terminal illness romantic melodrama may be a common genre in Korean dramas, but Scent of a Woman approaches the story with both tears and spunk, not to mention sizzling romantic chemistry. A heartfelt journey about learning to live for the first time, Scent of a Woman also co-stars Uhm Ki Joon (Dream High) and Seo Hyo Rim (Sungkyunkwan Scandal), and features a cameo appearance by JYJ's Jun Su.

A bit on the timid and frumpy side, Yeon Jae (Kim Sun Ah) is single, lives with her mom, and puts up with an annoying boss at work. She spends little time or money on enjoying herself, because that's just how life is. Yeon Jae gets a brutal wake-up call when she's diagnosed with terminal cancer. Realizing she's never really lived before, she sets out to find and fulfill her dreams in the limited time she has left. Her bucket list: travel, tango, confront past loves, die in the arms of someone who loves her.

Having just returned to Korea, self-aware chaebol Ji Wook (Lee Dong Wook) apathetically takes up a position at his father's travel agency and gets engaged with the equally cold daughter (Seo Hyo Rim) of a business partner. Ji Wook doesn't care much about life either way, so he's resigned to go along with whatever his father has arranged. Then he crosses paths with Yeon Jae, a curious woman who fills her life - and his - with new hope and surprises.
